Recycle:
The Alpenrose Inn utilizes biodegradable shampoos, lotions and soaps made with natural ingredients that are packaged in recyclable tubes and cartons made with recycled materials. In addition to earth- friendly shampoos and soaps, the Inn uses primarily bio-friendly cleaning products. The City of South Lake Tahoe does not currently offer a recycle program to individual home or business owners, however, all city refuse is taken to a central location to be recycled.
Re-use:
It is recommended that guests re-use their towels and linens (we change the linens every third day of your stay, except when otherwise requested), vastly reducing water, electrical, and gas consumption.
Reduce:
The Alpenrose Inn has greatly reduced its energy consumption by replacing all lighting with low-energy fluorescent lights and reduced water consumption by installing water conservation shower heads in every unit. Wherever paper is required, the Alpenrose Inn uses 100% recycled paper.
